An imprisoned hacker managed to shut down a prison's entire computer system - after wardens gave him the task of programming it. 27 year old Douglas Havard is serving six years for stealing £6.5million with forged credit cards over the internet. Reports state that he was approached after governors decided to create an internal TV station, but realized they needed a special computer program to be written. Havard was left unguarded, and surprisingly, hacked into the prison system's hard drive at Ranby Prison, outside of Retford, Notts. He then set up a series of passwords so that no one else would be able to get into the system.
